Peel police confirmed this detail to CTV News Toronto on Monday morning, adding that the dead were 16, 17 and 19 years old.
Emergency crews were called to Elmvale Avenue and Conestoga Drive just after 2 a.m. for a single-vehicle crash.
Police said a vehicle crashed into a tree in the area and burst into flames.  After the fire was extinguished, three occupants of the vehicle were located and pronounced dead at the scene.
Prior to the crash, police believe the white Honda Civic was traveling south and left the road for an unknown reason.
The front of the vehicle sustained significant damage after the impact and a large amount of debris was scattered around the crash site.
