Trump is also asking the Justice Department to provide him with a more detailed inventory of what the FBI took from his Florida resort and to return any property not subject to the court-approved search warrant.
Justice Department spokesman Anthony Coley said in a statement: “The August 8 Mar-a-Lago search warrant was approved by a federal court after the required finding of probable cause. The Department is aware of the move tonight. The United States will file its response in the court”.
Now, federal investigators are scrutinizing video evidence they obtained that shows people at Mar-a-Lago accessing storage areas that housed former President Donald Trump’s documents from his residence — including some classified documents, according to American official.
The video showing this potential access to a website with highly sensitive material remains a major cause of concern for the Department of Justice.
A source close to Trump’s lawyers said they are aware of such a video but warned against reading it. Officials continue to comb through his documents with a group of filters to see if anything should be returned to Trump.
This is a developing story.
