Officers from the Minneapolis Police Department and Minneapolis Park Police responded to a report of shots fired around 5:16 p.m. near the intersection of 18th Avenue South and 24th Street East, MPD spokesman Officer Garrett Parten said. A 6-year-old victim was found shot and officers and medics administered first aid to her before transporting her to Hennepin County Medical Center. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, Parten said. Investigators say two men were shooting at each other on 24th Street and the girl was hit while riding her bike. No other injuries were reported, and at least one vehicle was hit. Police say no arrests have been made.
