Police say the incident was called in by witnesses around 6:40 p.m., in the area of 56th Street and 23rd Avenue NE. Shell casings were found at the scene, but no one appears to have been injured, and no other vehicles or buildings were hit. Two vehicles are believed to be involved in the shooting, and police say investigators have recovered useful CCTV images. Police had not released descriptions of the vehicles or any suspects at the time of writing. Monday afternoon’s shooting adds to a string of such incidents in recent days.
