A nearly 130-foot superyacht sank off the coast of southern Italy on Saturday after members of the Italian coastguard rescued nine people from the sinking vessel. The Italian press this weekend reported that the 39.4 meter motor yacht “My Saga” sank off Catanzaro Marina. An investigation into what caused the ship to sink is ongoing, the agency said. The yacht was built in Italy in 2007, according to Super Yacht Times, and was traveling from Gallipoli to Milazzo under the flag of the Cayman Islands with a full Italian crew when it sank.
