The Baltimore Police Department confirmed to NBC News that a group of locals contacted producers working on a set on Park Avenue downtown around 4pm on Friday. They threatened to come back at night to shoot someone if the production didn’t stop. The producers were told to pay the amount to the team before the shoot was allowed to continue. The staff decided to “err on the side of caution” and stop production. They chose to reschedule the shoot and look for another location after receiving the message, the police department said. “Friday afternoon, on the set of our production of ‘Lady in the Lake’ in Baltimore, prior to the arrival of the cast and crew at their call time, one of our production crew drivers was confronted by two men, one of brandishing a gun at our driver and then fleeing the location,” series producer Endeavor Content said in a statement. “We are cooperating with the Baltimore Police Department as the investigation is ongoing. The safety and security of our crew, cast and everyone who works on our productions is our highest priority and we are thankful that no one was injured. “Production will resume with increased security measures in the future.” The series, which began filming in April, stars Natalie Portman and Moses Ingram.
