Robinson, a rookie third-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft, was shot multiple times Sunday night as part of an attempted armed robbery. He was rushed to a local hospital and is in “good spirits,” according to Washington coach Ron Rivera. Robinson posted on Instagram Monday that a surgery “went well!” Images of two suspects were captured by a nearby surveillance camera, along with photos of the car they were last seen in. The car the suspects fled in was found, along with a gun. Police have released images of the suspects who shot Brian Robinson. Robinson’s surgery on Monday addressed gunshot wounds to his buttock and lower leg, according to the NFL Network. After a breakout season at Alabama, the 23-year-old Robinson was expected to compete with Antonio Gibson and JD McKissic in the Commanders’ backfield. Now, his racing future is uncertain. During the attempted robbery, the suspects fired their pistols, striking the victim. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle without obtaining any property. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.”
